Shop Small: Mama Made Shops You’ll Love
If there’s one thing I love, it’s shopping. Window shopping, online shopping…..you name it, I love it.
But my favorite way to shop is small.
I love the idea that I’m supporting a person rather than a company. I’m helping a little girl get dance lessons or a little boy go to summer camp instead of helping a head honcho fly in a private jet to his fancy island. And that makes me happy.
So, I decided to share a few of my favorite small shops with you all! These products are made by amazing mamas who are rocking motherhood and running a business all at the same time. I’ve fallen in love with their businesses and I hope you will too!
Shop Hoop Mama
I’m always on the hunt for beautiful and timeless pieces that I can cherish forever. These custom embroidered family portraits from Shop Hoop Mama are seriously so cute and make the perfect gift for any occasion. Shop owner Stephanie Long began making embroidered gifts for family and friends and enjoyed it so much that she decided to turn it into a business. One of her favorite parts about being a business owner is that she is able to stay home with her young son. She hopes to one day be able to bring in more income for her family by doing at least 3-5 custom orders a month.

I absolutely love everything that Danielle Wilkins at Just Dandy creates! Knit hats, personalized tees, mugs with the cutest quotes and so much more. She started her business in May of 2017 as a way to do something for herself while also caring for her two boys. She was hesitant to start at first, but her boys inspired her to give starting a business a shot. I’m so glad she took the plunge because she is super talented and her business has gotten off to a wonderful start so far!

Lucille Le Fleur
I’m a girl mama, so naturally, I need ALL THE BOWS. Brittany Nystrom at Lucille Le Fleur makes the most adorable bows, headbands, and flower crowns for little girls. She started her business in August of 2017 after she had been making accessories for her daughter, Charleigh, for awhile. She hopes to continue growing her business and also has plans to start making clothing as well!

If your little one loves jewelry as much as mine does, then this is the shop for you! Natosha Mills at Miss GumGum makes darling chunky necklaces that your child will be obsessed with! She started her business in March of 2017 as a hobby while her husband was deployed. Her goal is to expand her business by offering more fun products for kids and I can’t wait to see what she creates next!

These mamas are all so inspiring. It’s hard enough to be a mama, but adding your own business into the mix is even harder. Needless to say, these ladies are so awesome for being able to juggle both! They definitely take the title “mom boss” to a whole new level!
So, as the holiday season draws closer, remember to consider shops like these. It always makes me feel great when I can support a person…..not a company. You should give it a try, too!
